Wladka Kijewska

Associate

Władka joins Code Studio with a blend of experiences spanning across architecture, urban design, research, and urban planning. She holds dual Master’s degrees in Urban Planning and Architecture. Before moving to the US in 2021, she worked as an architect and urban designer, most recently in the Czech Republic where she co-designed a mixed-use residential neighborhood (now in development). She also had a chance to put her feet into research while working at the National Institute for Spatial Policy in Poland, and collaborating with an architectural foundation LAB60+. These experiences sparked her interest in research based, data driven policies. A Master’s in Urban Planning degree from Harvard University further complements Władka’s architectural education, expanding her perspective beyond design to encompass strategies and systemic thinking about cities.

Władka loves interdisciplinary work, collaborating with different stakeholders and experts, and gaining insights into the built environment from various angles. She is particularly passionate about the urban form and public realm design, as well as supporting the public sector in the endeavors to improve the built environment. Outside of work, she is interested in neuroscience, jazz music, and exploring new places.
